These are so easy to apply and it's a great way to salvage your gear without throwing them in the landfill. The adhesive wore off on the 2 Ad Maddox trout patches I bought after about 2 years. They started failing and peeling away in the tiny spaces between the mouth of the trout so I bought some replacements. I think the patches that have tiny open spaces may be a bit more predisposed to peeling/failing over time. But, when I applied a new
patch after one patch had completely fallen off, I put my puffer in the dryer to set the adhesive on the new patch and the other old Ad Maddox trout patch that was peeling off re-adhered to my puffer...so give that a try before buying new ones to replace failing patches. That being said, I love having new artwork for the holes in my puffer that I have had a lot of adventures in!
