Operations & Production Manager
Noso Patches | Salt Lake City, Utah | Full-time, on-site
Salary: $70,000–$90,000 annually
Reports to: Founder & CEO
About Noso Noso makes USA-made, PFAS-free peel-and-stick fabric patches that help people repair, personalize, and extend the life of their clothing and outdoor gear. We bring creativity and function together, helping people make their gear their own while keeping it in use. We’re looking for an Operations & Production Manager to lead our Salt Lake City operation—from production planning and supplier coordination through inventory, assembly, and accurate, on-time shipment.
About the Role
You’ll be Noso’s senior on-site operations leader, responsible for keeping products moving, orders accurate, and the team organized and supported. This is a hands-on role. You’ll coordinate the team that assembles and kits our products, and personally pick, pack, and ship orders as needed to support workloads, cover absences, and meet deadlines. Our CEO works off-site, so this position requires independent judgment, proactive communication, and consistent follow-through. You’ll set daily priorities, resolve routine issues, and build dependable processes. When an issue requires leadership approval, you’ll bring clear context and a recommended solution.
What You’ll Do
Production and Supplier Management
- Translate customer orders, sales forecasts, and launch dates into production and purchasing plans.
- Review approved production files, specifications, quantities, and costs before releasing work.
- Manage purchase orders and coordinate printers, laminators, cutters, packaging suppliers, and other production partners.
- Confirm vendor capacity, lead times, pricing, and delivery commitments.
- Resolve quality issues, shortages, and late deliveries, and follow corrective actions through completion.
- Evaluate raw materials and alternate suppliers, obtaining approval for changes outside established requirements or budgets.
Inventory and Fulfillment
- Maintain accurate raw-material, work-in-process, and finished-goods inventory.
- Manage receiving, storage locations, cycle counts, and inventory controls.
- Plan replenishment and identify stockout risks, excess inventory, and obsolete products.
- Oversee accurate, timely fulfillment of e-commerce, wholesale, EDI, and custom orders.
- Maintain operational SKU, UPC, and inventory records in coordination with other departments.
- Coordinate freight, shipping supplies, and trade-show or event shipments.
Team, Assembly, and Facility Leadership
- Lead and coordinate the team responsible for patch assembly, kitting, receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Schedule assembly work, assign tasks, and ensure finished products meet quality standards and production deadlines.
- Personally pick, pack, and ship orders as needed to support daily workloads, cover absences, and meet shipping deadlines.
- Participate in receiving, assembly, and kitting when additional support is needed.
- Schedule, train, and support fulfillment staff, assembly technicians, and temporary labor.
- Establish clear expectations for productivity, quality, safety, and accountability.
- Document procedures and cross-train employees to provide dependable coverage.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized facility with efficient workflows.
Costs and Continuous Improvement
- Manage labor, materials, freight, and operating expenses within approved budgets.
- Review vendor invoices and purchase orders for accuracy.
- Track operational performance and communicate results, risks, and corrective actions.
- Investigate recurring problems and implement practical improvements.
- Reduce unnecessary handling, waste, delays, and errors as the business grows.
What You Bring
- Experience managing production, inventory, warehouse operations, or fulfillment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a small team and coordinate outside suppliers.
- Willingness and ability to perform hands-on assembly and fulfillment work alongside the team.
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and inventory-control skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
- Clear, respectful communication with teammates, vendors, and company leadership.
- Confidence making decisions within established budgets, policies, and specifications.
- Comfort using inventory, order-management, shipping, spreadsheet, and project-management systems.
- A practical approach to documenting processes, improving systems, and completing work.
- An interest in Noso’s mission of repair, creativity, and extending the life of gear.
Experience with consumer products, large SKU assortments, wholesale requirements, EDI, Shopify, or Asana is a plus.
What Success Looks Like

Assembly work stays on schedule, and the team understands its priorities and has the training and support to deliver. Work Environment
This position works primarily on-site in Salt Lake City. Occasional weekend or holiday support may be needed for planned business demands or urgent operational issues. The role includes warehouse activities such as lifting up to 50 pounds and using ladders safely, with reasonable accommodation as applicable.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary of $70,000–$90,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Health insurance stipend.
- Paid time off.
- Outdoor industry perks and benefits.
