Christina Russell grew up on the rivers and trails of Oregon with a bag of Gorp in one hand and paints in the other. Her first foray into art was when she accidentally melted a box of crayons in the back seat of her parent’s rental car. Fortunately, her folks weren’t too upset and art remained an important part of her life. In 2016, she stepped away from her career as a nurse following the unexpected closure of her clinic and threw herself into art. The universe works in mysterious ways and since then, she has been able to split her time between painting and hospital emergency/wound care.

When not working in the hospital or laying down paint, you’ll catch her kiteboarding in the Gorge, whitewater kayaking, rafting, and backpacking.
